MINING EXCAVATOR CLAM BUCKET
The excavator clam is a great example of a combined impact and abrasive wear. The theory of wear tells us that the hardest material will overcome. That is why Fedur plate ( >62 HRc hardness of the Top wear Layer) is very successful in this application.
The differentiation of the Fedur plate thickness and ratios helps to focus on more abrasive circumstances or high impact situations. Fedur's Base Layer is ductile, tensile, tough and easily weldable. Fedur can also be safely moved with the help of lifting magnets.
